After almost three year of distillation trials, and input from some of the best distilling minds in the world, Kalak Single Malt Vodka was launched in mid 2015.
Kalak is meticulously crafted from the best of Irish malted barley, and pure mountain water. Four times pot distilled in West Cork, it is pure, smooth and intriguingly complex.
Kalak has since gained a ‘democratic’ following around the world, appealing to both premium vodka drinkers and Whisky lovers.
Nose: Creamy with notes of freshly baked croissants, vanilla and fruity freshness.
Palate: Elegant texture with hints of biscuit, dark chocolate, creaminess and ripe fruit richness.
Finish: Silky smooth with lingering depth and complexity.
Kalak is ideally enjoyed neat in a tumbler glass, or with an ice cube, cinnamon stock and lemon zest. It’s character adapts perfectly to martini style cocktails or in a highball serve with soda or tonic water.
Distilled four times in a copper pot still, using Irish malted barley and pure mountain water, this single malt vodka is then finished in American virgin oak casks, charred over an Irish peat fire.
Nose: Aromas of honeycomb, toffee and vanilla are complemented by delicate earthy undertones.
Palate: Mellow smokiness evolves with vanilla, gingerbread and creaminess.
Finish: Long, smooth & lingering.
Kalak Peat cask Single Malt Vodka is best enjoyed neat in a tumbler glass. It’s depth and character make it a perfect base to an old fashioned or penicillin cocktail.
